Katherine Cooper, DPT

Physical Therapist located in Falls Church, VA

Meet Katherine Cooper, DPT

Katherine Cooper is a dedicated physical therapist practicing at Advantage Physical Therapy in Falls Church, Virginia. She specializes in a wide variety of treatments for conditions such as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome as well as the localized pain of the hips, back, and joints. She also treats patients with orthopedic physical therapy to help them recover from injuries.

Katherine is a Virginia native, born and raised here in Fairfax. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a Major in Kinesiology and later went on to George Washington University for her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She is interested in continuing her education to ensure that she is able to provide the best possible treatments available to her patients.

As a clinician, Katherine has found her professional focus in the outpatient orthopedic field. She loves that it allows her to work with the fifth-grade boy who sprained his ankle playing baseball to the octogenarian who received a brand new knee, and everyone in between. She values hands-on manual therapy, combined with functional exercise and active patient participation to improve physical therapy outcomes. Katherine has a strong background in wellness, and prior to becoming a therapist she worked in health coaching and health promotion. Because of this, she believes in taking a patient-centered and holistic approach to her physical therapy treatment plans.

Katherine Cooper and her colleagues at Advantage Physical Therapy are currently accepting new patients and look forward to developing long-term partnerships to provide education and support to promote better overall health. Most major forms of insurance are accepted.
