PT started within days of my shoulder replacement surgery. Advantage was very gentle in making the initial assessment of my limited mobility. I was given exercises that I could and should do at home to augment my twice a week visits. Early on, the same two therapists were assigned to me so that the they could track my progress and I would grow in confidence in them. Advantage had many innovative ways to help me maximize my rehab and keep me from becoming bored. Perhaps the best part was the collection of great personalities at Advantage. There is a feeling of family, of genuine caring, and joy in seeing their clients graduate.

Both of my knees were in bad shape limiting my ability to walk or do stairs without experiencing pain. Following joint replacement of both knees (Aug 2023 and Nov 2023), I started PT with Sam. Sam and his colleagues are great motivators implementing a well structured physical therapy regimen. I feel that I positively progressed with my range of motion and motor function and strengthening of both of my knees and I am now able to walk longer distances comfortably as well as walk stairs and hills without pain. I would highly recommend Advantage Physical Therapy especially those requiring PT following Joint replacement surgery.*

The treatment regimen was dynamic. Dr. Alana Hamilton demonstrated and proscribed alternative and more advanced exercises for my improving condition as I progressed. When I left treatment, I was free of the pain that initially led me to seek treatment. For what more could you ask? The location has plenty of covered parking. The treatment areas are open and airy, and the staff is constantly sanitizing the common surfaces. In addition, the treatment staff is friendly and helpful, and the back-office staff keeps things moving efficiently, always eager to answer any scheduling, insurance, or billing questions. The mobile app used to track my treatment progress is still being used to help me not fall back into bad habits. 5 out of 5 stars.*

Jenna was absolutely fantastic for pelvic floor PT! Going to see her was one of the best things I did for myself while postpartum. I had a lot of symptom improvement while working with her and she was incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and kind. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone needing pelvic floor PT!*

Referred through reputable orthopedics in Northern Virginia as far back as 2009, Mike and support staff have significantly contributed to both my recoveries from potentially permanent injuries as well as timely collaboration on ongoing physical conditioning efforts. Specifically, Mike's skill is grasping my individual medical patient technical assessments from physicals and effectively communicating these into PLAIN ENGLISH! This has allowed me to sustain physical conditioning, continue ongoing activities, and remain free from related surgeries and reasonably healthy in the process.*

Sam Corbin is beyond an excellent Physical Therapist, he is professional, knowledgeable and so caring.
He helped me so much with my back pain, ankle pain and shoulder.
I can say I would ONLY go to Sam. I had been to other PT's but they cannot be close to him in his professionalism and knowledge.

Sam Corbin is an excellent physical therapist. He has been my guide, companion and friend along several long recoveries. His gentle demeanor and quiet understanding are the cornerstone of his work. I’m almost afraid to recommend him because if he becomes much more sought after he might not have appointments for me when needed. Seriously, he is very good and you can trust him to help you heal. *

Chris provided PT in 2017 for my 12 year old son after a foot injury. Chris' knowledge (specifically sports injuries) was extremely helpful and he was able to easily connect with my son on a personal level. Chris engaged my son in exercises that kept him motivated to complete therapy. He made steady progress and was back on the court in no time! Highly recommend. Only wish the practice took United Healthcare. We had to pay out of pocket which is why we have not been back. *

I had left shoulder surgery and went to get physical therapy at this location and my experience was excellent. The staff was very courteous and friendly and polite as well. I was assigned to Sam, he did a great job on my shoulder. It has now been about 4 months since I had my surgery and feel 90 % better and have full movement on my shoulder. I attribute this to the professionalism, knowledge and great attention to detail from Sam. He made sure to I followed up with my exercises and he made sure I was always comfortable and he addressed any concerns I had.
I will highly recommend Advanced Physical Therapy to anyone, in fact I'm taking my Dad to get treatment on his shoulder.
